The first day of our trip was spent driving. We had dropped the kids off in Cartersville last Wednesday so we picked them up on Sunday when we went to celebrate Father's Day with Jeff's dad. We decided to spend the night there on Sunday so we could save ourselves some drive time. We took a leisurely pace through TN and KY with plenty of stops for food, stretches and brochures. The kids did great on the drive and didn't even fuss when we told them they couldn't watch movies the whole way. We enjoyed listening to a couple of books on tape as well as several movies.
When we got to the hotel Theo was the most excited. Leah remembered the hotels from our drive to NY with Aunt Trina and Grammie several years back. But to Theo, this was a world to explore. He was excited about jumping on the beds...
and the trip to the pool after the long day of driving. They were both eager to do all the door unlocking and ice bucket filling.
The kids, much to my chagrin, decided they wanted to brave the hot water. Theo didn't last too long but Leah knew a good thing when she felt it. We both decided that hot tubs with children were not relaxing in the least.

We have stayed in way too many hotels, but my kids still get excited about it...mainly the desks, the pens, and the notepads. And, unfortunately, they like the hot tub too. Glad you had such a great time!
Glad you had a fun time! Love the pics!
