We started out our day totally distracted and it went from bad to worse. While we were breaking for lunch, Theo suddenly yelled out, "Mom! Look!" He tore out of the house and ran into the back yard.
He came back with a cool turtle. We spent the next hour (at least) waiting for him to come out of his shell, snapping pictures, taking video, pretending to be a turtle.....
and learning all about the turtle on the i
nternet. We found out that T had found a male Eastern Box turtle. He was
extremely disappointed that we couldn't keep him but there will always be
another live critter out in the backyard to catch his interest.
